Good Work Party
Mr Harry Hodgson, Silk Screen Printer, was invited on the Good WorkParty which went to Vienna and Saltzburg.
In six crowded days and nights the party visited such famous places as the ‘Winter Palace’, St Stephan’s Cathedral, the birthplaces of Schubert and Mozart and the United Nations Palace. A bus tour into the Danube river valley visited the Vienna Woods and the Abbey Melke with its Benedictine monks, then on to Baden Spa for a wine tasting. One evening was spent at the Spanish Riding Academy with its famous white Lippizaner horses.
