Sudbury: Bag for Life bench

A bench made from 50,000 recycled Waitrose Bags for Life has been presented by our Sudbury branch to a local school.

Pupils and teachers at All Saints Middle School were delighted with the new bench, presented to them by Sudbury BM Paul Reeley whose daughter attends the school.

The eight foot long bench was made from Bags for Life recycled under our environmentally friendly scheme.  Under the recycling scheme, Waitrose buys back the furniture produced by the furniture plant and donates it to a good cause.

The bench which is predicted to last some 200 years, is part of general improvements taking place in the school.
