All smiles for fundraising

Greenfield's School's Headteacher Jean Moralee and two pupils accepted the cheque presented by Kingsthorpe's Dry Goods Partner Ross Howard and ASM Dry Goods Darren Martin.

There were smiles all round in Kingsthorpe, as Partners handed a cheque for £2,600 and a ‘bench for life’ to a school for children with severe learning disabilities.

Thirty Partners, accompanied by friends and family, took part in a sponsored six mile walk/cycle/run around nearby Pitsford Reservoir, Northampton, raising a total, with other fundraising events £1,300.

The Waitrose Charities Committee then doubled the amount.

Greenfield School, which teaches children aged 11-18 years, was selected by the branch as a worthy cause because of its excellent reputation and the fact that it is local to the branch.
