Heather wins First Women Award
Heather Jenkins, Director of Buying for Meat, Poultry, Fish, Frozen Food, Dairy and Agriculture, has won a First Women Award for her instrumental work in the food and farming industry.
Heather was announced the winner of the Retail and Consumer category at a ceremony held in Grosvenor Square, London, last night.
Among other things, Heather was praised for her contribution to the ground-breaking Waitrose Cattle Scheme and her work has a significant effect on British livestock, agricultural supply chains, fish farming, welfare standards and quality and provenance of food.
