Memorable swim for Ella

Chairman Charlie Mayfield took time out from his busy schedule last Friday to join Deputy Editor Ella Foote for a quick dip at Leckford Abbas pool.  The swim was part of a year-long project Ella is taking part in to raise money for Diabetes UK.  “After completing an English Channel relay crossing last year I wanted to continue to raise money for the charity and take part in a project of my own”, said Ella.  “The aim of the challenge is to complete 30 memorable swims in 2013.  These can be memorable because of location, distance, or who I am swimming with.  Charlie was kind enough to offer to swim one of my 30 swims and it was a fantastic dip!”.

The swim with Charlie became swim number 13 and Ella will be swimming number 14 this weekend at Hampstead Ladies Pond.
