Extension spells success

The Fruit and Vegetable warehouse is to be extended.  Some Partners may be surprised to hear this news because the present warehouse is only two years old.  The reason for the extension so soon is simply that the development and expansion of our fruit and vegetable trade has been most successful and once again the warehouse is up to its practical operating capacity.

The extension will add about 20% more floor space and twelve docks positions and a yard which will hold up to 30 trailers.

Work on the site began three weeks ago when the bulldozers arrived and started clearing off the top soil and levelling the area on which the extension will be built.

The warehouse extension is planned to come into use in April 1981.
