Waitrose opened its new shop in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire in August 2013, and sales were strong over the branch’s first weekend of trade.
Branch Manager, Rose, says the new shop has received a warm welcome from local shoppers.
The 21 000 sq foot shop in the town centre’s Exchange Street, received 1300 applications for its 165 jobs. It has provided jobs for 19 long term unemployed people as well as two apprenticeships.
