JLP: Holidays and me!

My father, Bill (William Thomas) Cole, worked as a lorry driver at Holdrons, Peckham and Bon Marche, Brixton from the Fifties until his illness and death in 1966, aged 48.

We enjoyed several wonderful holidays at Leckford, such a great place. Perhaps there are other sons and daughters with lovely memories of those times.

Incidentally, are there written accounts of the Partnership, Bon Marche, Holdrons, Leckford holidays, day trips to Swanage, Weymouth and so on? I would love to purchase the book/s

Although the trip to the seaside was appreciated we enjoyed the holiday camp so much that didn’t need to go mùch further than exploring the fields, orchards (cherry plums) Leckford and Stockbridge villages: all we needed was there, including swimming in the river Test!
