Mr S Esom

Mr Steven Esom joined the Partnership from the Ladbroke Group in 1996 when he assumed the post of Director of Buying (Waitrose).

Mr Esom left the Partnership in 2007 to take up a role with Marks & Spencer. His successor, Mark Price remarked: “I want to recognise the contribution Steven has made to Waitrose over the last 11 years, particularly the expansion of the business with the ‘Toronto’ and ‘Turin’ acquisitions of new shops. He leaves the business in great shape”.

During Mr Esom’s time with Waitrose, the Partnership structure was ‘modernised’ resulting in a change of title to Waitrose Managing Director and the Waitrose Managing Committee being renamed the Waitrose Management Board.
