Before Waitrose Salisbury Was Built, March 1996

Before Waitrose Salisbury was built at Churchill Way West, the area had been a cattle market and a driving school, with road markings on the tarmac for pupils to practice driving. Children also took their Cycling Proficiency tests here. This photograph was taken in March 1996, after the Cattle Market had been demolished and before building began for Waitrose.

We will look through our records and see if we can find the image mentioned but I suspect it may belong to Vermillion 303
