Biggin Hill supported local school Charles Darwin with their festive collection of sweets and nuts for soldiers in Afghanistan. SM Karen Nicholson was sent a newsletter from the school, which was when she noticed the collection and volunteered to support the project.
The school took 35 shoe boxes into the branch to be filled and Karen made flyers explaining what the project was about for customers and Partners to get involved. “Within two weeks we managed to fill all these boxes with the help of our Partners and customers”, said Karen.
At the end of the project the branch presented the boxes to some of the soldiers and local press covered the story.
