Kings Road Chelsea: Re-opening

Waitrose Kings Road, London, reopened to the public after a five year refurbishment project.

The branch returned to full operation on Friday 17 March 2023 with a brand new facade and entrance, new counters and self-service areas like dry aged beef, and the unveiling of its much loved tile mural of the local area.

“The branch has exceeded the expectations of our loyal customers. Some are in just disbelief in how we have managed to transform the old space into this fabulous, stunning store,” says Baz Naik, Branch Manager, Waitrose Kings Road. “Our customers are delighted that we kept our unique features such as the hand painted tiles depicting life in Chelsea and are full of praise for our new sushi bar, new dry aged beef cabinet and the return of our cheese and deli counters. Sales have been brilliant and again better than anticipated.”
