Brackley: Opening

Waitrose Brackley opened on 17/7/2008.  The following appeared in the Partnership magazine The Chronicle at the time.

Brackley, our latest Market Town Format shop, brought our portfolio to 190 branches. The 13 000sq foot branch which we acquired from the Co-op in April, follows hot on the heels of our other two Market Town Format shops – Buckingham and St. Neot’s.

The branch has 130 Partners, 52 of whom transferred from the Co-op and 78 of whom are newly recruited; it follows the same management structure as Buckingham. It has 3 section managers, in Replenishment, Operations and Customer Service.
The branch, like Buckingham, has a strong emphasis on local and regional food and offers lines such as Beechdean Ice Cream from High Wycombe; Sara Louise Kakes from Witney and Woburn sausages and bacon. It has a wide variety of fresh foods as well as meat, fish and cheese counters, a deli and a bakery.
