Waitrose East Putney 820 opened on 21st January 2014.

The 303rd Waitrose branch opened in East Putney on Tuesday 21st January 2014, marking it the first opening of 2014. The ribbon was cut by Ravi Govindia, the leader of Wandsworth Council, and celebrated by many of the 49 strong team of Partners – 44 of whom are brand new to the Partnership.
Store Manager Julia said, ‘Our first morning was brisk and customers absolutely love the branch. Partners are really excited, it’s been wonderful.’
Customer Service Team Manager, Karl, said, ‘It’s been magical actually. Our new partners have really engaged and are eager to try out new things – there’s been an amazing atmosphere.’
Partners have been getting help and training in areas such as checkouts and cash office from existing Partners at nearby branches including Knightsbridge and Putney. Sarah-Jane from Knightsbridge said, ‘The Partners here have been picking up things really quickly and there’s a good mix of experience and a lot of energy.’
