Sevenoaks (182): Opening

Waitrose Sevenoaks opened on 15/11/1983.

Waitrose Sevenoaks was built as a brand new store with arched windows and a columned porch as part of the design.

With the accompanying car park, customers had the choice of either a multi-storey or open level parking. The multi-storey included a direct lift link to the store, plus stairs and a special walkway to keep pedestrians separate from cars.

The branch opened with 150 Partners and was quite a young store – the majority of the shop floor Partners were under the age of 20.
