Swaffham (686): Opening

Customers were said to have been queueing as Waitrose Swaffham opened its doors on August 5th 2004. Being the only major supermarket in town, locals were keen to stock up after waiting two weeks for the conversion.

Swaffham Waitrose is located in south-west Norfolk on the busy A47 and is part of a small out-of-town industrial estate. The store also benefits from a petrol station, which opened later on August 26th of the same year.

The conversion provided new meat and fish counters and two extra fresh food aisles. The Coffee Shop had also been modernised, to make the whole store feel more open.

Facilities currently available at Swaffham include fresh fish, cheese, delicatessen, meat and bakery counters.

Address: Castle Acre Road, Swaffham, Norfolk, PE37 7HT
