Storrington (317): Opening

“A storming start to Storrington” was how the Partnership’s in-house magazine, The Gazette, reported the news of the new branch opening on March 4th 2010. Andrew Walker, Department Manager, Retail, also reported “phenomenal sales of fresh food”, the day of opening, with customer response being “brilliant”.

Storrington is one of the smaller Waitrose branches at only 7,900 sq ft, having previously been a Somerfield store. Nevertheless Andrew had faith that, alongside his keen, dedicated team, the store would be a success. In just the first weekend almost 300 customers had already signed up to QuickCheck.

The branch facilities include a meat, fish, delicatessen, patisserie and cheese counters, as well as flower wrapping and a car park with electric charging points for cars.

Address: Old Mill Square, Storrington, Pulborough RH20 4NQ
