Missionary trip to Peru
Bracknell Partner Gloria Arranz see’s the world through different eyes after volunteering at an orphanage in Peru.
The Wines Direct Customer Care and E-Commerce Assistant spent three weeks in South American country helping to decorate the orphanage and playing with the children.
Gloria said: “This was the very first time I was able to be part of something that has impacted on my life. It has made me realise how lucky we are and how others survive with nothing. It’s heartbreaking”.
A group of 12, supervised by a missionary working for charity Latin Link, helped in the orphanage in Ayaeucho for two weeks, before spending a further week seeing other projects in Lima involving abandoned babies and women living in shanty towns.
