Windsor (772): Opening

For the fourth time lucky, Waitrose Windsor officially opened their doors again on October 11th 2007, a 21,000 sq-ft building, built over the site of the 1979 store, within The King Edward Shopping Centre.

Being on the first floor posed some problems when constructing, as materials had to be craned onto the roof of the adjacent multi-storey car park and rolled down ramps onto the site. (As reported in the Partnerships in-house magazine, The Gazette.) However, this height as well as the glass perimeter does have its advantages, the view of Windsor Castle is stunning!

Facilities available at Waitrose Windsor include: Click & Collect, inner cellar and flower wrapping. Also included within this store are a range of fresh counters offering: meat, fish, cheese, delicatessen, rotisserie, patisserie, as well as a bakery.

Parking is available at the neighbouring multi-storey car park.

Address: 37 King Edward St, Goswell Hill, Windsor SL4 1TG
