Wollaton 591: Opening

The Wollaton branch opened on Thursday 26th March 2015. Waitrose acquired the store in November 2014, which was previously a Co-op. The opening of the new branch provided 120 new job opportunities as well as employing 76 original Co-op employees.

The branch is keen to help local charities through donations of £1000 each month through the Community Matters scheme. Partners are also volunteering around 250 staff hours each year to help with causes within the community.

The investment in the Wollaton branch has enabled the branch to include features such as deli, patisserie, meat and fish counters as well as a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The local post office remained within the store after the redevelopment and the petrol station is now run by Partners.
